KDR-D21 Smart Record Display Firmware Update Data 20240708

■Please purchase a microSD card if you are one of the following:

It has been confirmed that the following symptoms occur when updating using the download version.

"Settings are different from the default settings"

"Parking monitoring function shows the function being debugged"

"The G-sensor sensitivity becomes abnormal."

"The power won't turn on or it freezes"

■Target: Open the version from settings and check the update date "2024 XXXXX release".

Applies to versions prior to 20240431 at the time of purchase.

*Please use the download version from the time of purchase 20240501 onwards.

■ Update contents

1. A file lock button is displayed on the home screen so that files can be locked manually.
   
2. The frequency currently in use is displayed on the home screen so that you can check the setting status of "Indoor Mode W52" and "Outdoor Mode W56DFS".
   

■ Update procedure

1. Please check the version before updating from settings.
2. Download the ZIP file and unzip it.
3. Please add the update data alone while the files for the Smart Record Display remain on the microSD card (microSD card formatted with KDR-D21).
4. Power on your Smart Record Display.
5. Once the device boots up and the home screen appears (the screen displaying the images from the front and rear cameras), insert the microSD card containing the update data.
6. Once you insert the microSD card you will be asked to confirm whether you want to update, select Update.
7. Please wait a few minutes for the update to complete.
8. After restarting, you will be asked to confirm whether you want to update again, so select Cancel and format from the settings.
9. After that it will work normally, check the version in the settings and if it has been updated the process is complete.

■Caution

1. Updates cannot be performed on MacOS PCs .

2. If there are no KDR-D21 files remaining on the microSD card (if it is not formatted with KDR-D21), the update will not start.

3. You need to unzip the ZIP file and add the update data in the file to the microSD card separately. If you add the ZIP file to the microSD card as is, the update will not start.
4. Previous driving data will be erased when formatting after updating. Please transfer any necessary driving data to another recording medium in advance, or use a different microSD card to perform the update.
