When he purchased the CB1300SB, he was unable to use the USB power supply that was pre-installed, so he purchased the KDR-M2C on Amazon, but was unable to find a store that could install it, so he drove about an hour from far away to come and visit us.
In order to keep costs as low as possible, I tried to install it using the USB power wiring that was already installed, but it seemed to sometimes get power and sometimes don't, and it didn't work with the key.
So I decided to re-route the wiring
Since I have the chance, I'll rewire it so that it works with the key.
The fuse branch is doubled and the direction is checked to ensure that it does not pass through the fuse.
Wire the fuse box so that the cover closes tightly.
This is the wiring that was already installed.
Because it was directly connected to the battery and there was no fuse, if the wiring's insulation were to wear off and cause a short circuit in the body, the power would not be cut off, so I was worried about what would happen if something went wrong.
Even if we were careful, there was still a concern that the battery would run out if we forgot to turn off the switch or tampered with it, so rewiring was the right solution.
Once the installation was completed, it was time to take a commemorative photo and say goodbye.
We had a lively discussion about the amulets of Yasuzumi Shrine, a sacred place for riders.
We look forward to seeing you again.
