It has been confirmed that the following symptoms occur when updating using the download version.
"Settings are different from the default settings"
"The power won't turn on or it freezes"
■Target: Open the version from settings and check the update date "2024 XXXXX release".
Applies to versions prior to 20240431 at the time of purchase.
*Please use the download version from the time of purchase 20240501 onwards.
■ Update contents
- The frequency currently in use is displayed on the home screen so that you can check the setting status of "Indoor Mode W52" and "Outdoor Mode W56DFS".
■ Update procedure
- Please check the version before updating from settings.
- Download the ZIP file and unzip it.
- Please add the update data separately to a FAT32 formatted microSD card of 32GB or less. (Updates cannot be made to 64/128/256GB microSD cards that do not support FAT32 format.)
*If you own a KDR-D21, you can update the KDR-D11 with a 64/128/256GB microSD card. Please add the update data separately while the files for the Smart Record Display remain on the microSD card (formatted with the KDR-D21). - Power on your Smart Ride Display.
- Once the device boots up and the home screen appears, insert the microSD card containing the update data.
- Once you insert the microSD card you will be asked to confirm whether you want to update, select Update.
- Please wait a few minutes for the update to complete.
- After restarting, you will be asked to confirm whether you want to update again, so select Cancel and remove the microSD card.
- After that it will work normally, check the version in the settings and if it has been updated the process is complete.

■Caution
- Updates cannot be performed on MacOS PCs .
- MicroSD cards of 64/128/256GB or larger can be formatted on the KDR-D21 and then used to update the KDR-D11 by inserting the update data for the KDR-D11.

You need to unzip the ZIP file and add the update data in the file to the microSD card separately. If you add the ZIP file to the microSD card as is, the update will not start.

Manufacturer's warranty for products sold by Kaedear Co., Ltd.
We cannot guarantee the product if it is not installed or handled correctly. Please note that we are only responsible if the product is found to be defective, and we are not responsible for any damage other than the product. In the unlikely event that a defect in our product causes an accident or damages the user's property or body, and compensation for damages to the customer is legally recognized, we will handle it under the product liability insurance that we have subscribed to.
What is a product defect?
A product defect is a malfunction which can be restored to the original specifications of the product by repair or replacement. However, cases where the product specifications (specs, functions) do not meet the user's requirements are not considered product defects.
What is an initial defect?
If a malfunction occurs due to defects caused by individual differences in materials or manufacturing during normal use within 6 months of purchase, and the symptoms can be clearly confirmed in advance with images or videos, it may be considered a manufacturing defect, and we will first mail a replacement product free of charge. After receiving the product, you will use the return envelope enclosed and return it to us for inspection. If the product is not found to be defective upon inspection, we will replace it for a fee. Even if it is within 6 months, depending on the product and the state of damage, it may not be considered a manufacturing defect. We will handle it as a manufacturer's warranty, not as a manufacturing defect.
What is a manufacturer's warranty?
If a breakdown or other problem occurs during normal use due to defects caused by individual differences in materials or manufacturing, etc., we will repair or replace the product free of charge within the warranty period set for each product (including shipping costs for repair or replacement). The purpose is to protect customers from damage caused by damage to products that would not normally be damaged due to individual differences in the product. In addition, the purpose is to understand the product-specific defects and characteristics that are discovered through actual use, and use this information to improve the quality of products that we plan in the future.
Warranty period
The warranty period is from the date of purchase to the date stated in the product information. If the warranty period has expired, repairs or replacements will be available for a fee. For products that cannot be repaired or replaced, please purchase a new product.
Proof of warranty period
Proof of purchase date is required for each product warranty.
- For online purchases, please enter the product order number (personal sales on Yahoo! Auctions, Mercari, etc. are not eligible)
- For purchases made in store, please provide a receipt or invoice
The above proof of purchase is required for product warranty. If you cannot prove the purchase date, the product will not be covered by the warranty. Thank you for your understanding.
Regarding defect inspection
The cost of returning the product for inspection will be refunded if it is covered by the product warranty. If there is no problem with the product, you will be charged for the round-trip shipping fee. Please be aware of this in advance. We strive to narrow down the cause of the defect as much as possible before returning the product so that the shipping fee is not borne by the customer. After-sales service staff cannot visually grasp the actual situation, and the problem assumed by the after-sales service staff may differ from the actual problem based on verbal or written explanations alone. Please be sure to attach photos and videos, and perform troubleshooting as much as possible before the after-sales service staff provides guidance. In principle, the product will be judged after it is received and inspected. Please note that we cannot judge the product defect based only on email or official LINE.

Regarding cash on delivery
If you return the item cash on delivery, we will refuse to accept the item unless you make a reservation for cash on delivery. We will only accept the item if you have made a reservation in advance.

When you report a malfunction in an electrical item, we will send it back to you for inspection, and there may be no problem with the product itself.
The power supply may be the cause, such as poor contact of crimps , high resistance due to terminal corrosion , loose fuse holders , short circuits due to wiring rubbing , and concentrated wiring due to the addition of electrical equipment . In the unlikely event that there is no problem with the product, we ask that you cover the round-trip shipping costs (including postage and return envelope fees). Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Regarding returns at your discretion
*If you decide to return the item, we will not be able to offer a refund or accept any other returns.
*If you are returning the item to the store as instructed by customer support, we will record the return request and then confirm the return/receipt.
*If we are unable to confirm your detailed information, we will respond in accordance with the storage period stipulated in the warranty regulations.
Warranty details
If a defect occurs within the warranty period, we will repair or replace it free of charge.
*Even if the product is replaced, the product warranty will be for the product model you purchased. Product changes such as model changes and color changes are not allowed under the product warranty. If the product cannot be repaired or replaced due to discontinuation of the product, we will provide a full refund.

1. You are using the Services in accordance with the contents of the product information on this OFFICIAL website, in catalogs, etc.
2. You are using the product in accordance with the instructions in the product manual.
3. You are using the service in accordance with the instructions of the after-sales service staff.
Items that cannot be guaranteed
The following items cannot be guaranteed:
- Defects caused by aging and wear during use. (The specifications are based on the product concept, and defects occur when used in other applications.)
- Minor sensory symptoms that do not affect the quality or functionality of the product (abnormal noise, vibration, operating speed, smoothness of operation).
- Product defects caused by natural disasters such as earthquakes, typhoons, floods, accidents, and fires.
- Product defects caused by soot, chemicals, bird droppings, salt damage, etc.
- Product defects caused by processing or modification of the product (excluding product defects not caused by processing or modification)
- Product defects that the user can discover and fix, such as loose bolts and nuts, as well as defects that are left unattended and cannot be fixed.
- Product defects caused by failure to follow the usage instructions covered by the warranty.
- Product defects that occur when the product is used under severe conditions that exceed normal usage, such as the usage environment, usage conditions, frequency of use, or number of uses.
- Damage caused by input force exceeding that expected under normal use.
- Problems with product characteristics. (Problems with product performance that cannot be improved by repair or replacement)
The following items cannot be covered :
- Costs for parts, repairs, maintenance, etc. other than the Product damaged due to the defect.
- Costs such as labor costs incurred when returning products for inspection.
(Including loss or damage that renders the product unusable while the product is being inspected) - Costs for loss, damage, etc., incurred when the vehicle cannot be used.
(Including communication costs, replacement costs, replacement vehicle costs, transportation costs, business damages, etc.)
There is a storage limit for your items.
If it is discovered that the cause of the defect is not the product itself, but the power supply, installation method, or handling method, we will charge you the round-trip shipping fee that we would normally cover. If you do not pay, we will store the product for one month, and if the period is exceeded, we will refund at least 10% of the purchase price and dispose of the product.
